FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Click the sections below to get the answers to some of our most asked questions

Q1: Where are Regent Caravans made?

Regent Caravans are manufactured in Australia within the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne for the past 25 years, providing tough and elegant travelling accommodation to the Australian market.

Q2: What type of frame do the Regent caravans use?

The Regent caravans use a 18mm thick water resistant ply wood framing system which is all CNC cut and finger jointed to allow flexibility and create overall strength throughout the frame. This also allows us to fully insulate the caravan with millimetre accuracy and 18mm insulation throughout the whole caravan.

Q3: Are Regent Caravans able to be taken off road?

This will depend on the model and suspension etc. Our semi off road models are completely capable for gravel road use, and we use raisers in the chassis for extra clearance as well as a bigger tyre (235/75) on a 15” wheel, which provides a bigger tyre profile and more aggressive pattern for dirt roads and corrugations. There is an option for our A/T [All Terrain] Pack, which consists of upgraded suspension to a fully independent cruise master coil suspension with shock absorbers and a DO35 off road hitch. This will allow you to tackle some of the tougher terrains and will warrant them for off road use.

Q4: What warranty are they covered by?

Regent caravans are covered by a 12 month factory warranty. This warranty is 100% Australia wide and is handled all in house by our designated warranty specialist.

Q5: How is the internal cabinetry constructed?

All internal cabinetry is CNC cut which means there is no room for error and ensures all cabinetry is flush throughout. All edge banding on the furniture is also carried out robotically.

Q6: Can we make changes to the caravans to suit our requirements?

Absolutely, Regent Caravans are very accommodating to making changes throughout the order process to ensure the caravan fits all the requirements for our clients.

Q7: What chassis are Regent Caravans based on?

The chassis is the foundation of your caravan and therefore plays a huge part in the way the caravan travels.

We use an ‘Austrail’ chassis, which are a robotically welded chassis designed on a CAD program. To ensure all components of the chassis are 100% accurate, they use 98% zinc rich primer and are painted using a 2K paint system that provides the best-in-class corrosion protection. The chassis then have 50 point inspection checked off before each chassis leaves the factory.
